Request for proposal: Lease of the Plantation Golf Club

 

Sealed proposals addressed to the City will be received at the Rincon City Hall, Attention: City Manager 302 S. Columbia Ave / PO BOX 232, Rincon, and GA 31326 until March 29, 2019. No proposals will be accepted after that time.

RECEIPT AND HANDLING OF PROPOSALS

The offeror assumes full responsibility for the timely delivery of the proposal to the designated location. Proposals delivered to any other office or location will not be considered.

Competitive sealed proposals are not publicly opened or otherwise handled so as to permit disclosure of the identity of any offeror or the contents of any proposal to competing offerors during the evaluation process. The proposals, except for information identified by the offeror as proprietary, shall be open for public inspection after contract award.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The City of Rincon, GA (City) seeks competitive proposals to secure a contract with a qualified person/entity(s) (Offeror) to operate, maintain, and market an 18-hole golf course for the City known as the Lost Plantation Golf Club. The Offeror will perform all services identified in these specifications including all services set forth in the attached schedules. The schedules are a part of these specifications unless indicated otherwise. Services to include, but not limited to providing:

  1. High quality, state of the art golf course operations with emphasis on excellent course playability and an exceptional level of customer service.
  2. Maintenance of golf course and all facilities to preserve and enhance the City’s investment.
  3. Operate and manage the pro shop and buildings, training grounds and golf cart operation.
  4. Food, refreshment, and events in the clubhouse and on the course.
  5. Promote and market the course to improve the Golf Course market share.
  6. Initiate new programs and services to increase usage of the facility.

The City desires to make this opportunity available to all qualified offerors regardless of any current affiliations with the City. The City has made a significant capital investment at the Lost Planation Golf Club and is looking for entity (s) or individuals to partner with the City and share its vision for maintaining and operating a top quality public golf course, training facility and restaurant.

PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING AND COURSE/FACILITY INSPECTION

A pre-proposal meeting for intended bidders only is scheduled for March 15, 2019, 9:00 AM at the Lost Plantation Golf Club located at 1 Clubhouse Drive, Rincon, GA.

Interested parties are encouraged to attend the meeting and site visit. Please e-mail City Manager, John Klimm at jklimm@cityofrincon.com and indicate the number of people attending for your company.

SUBMITTAL OF QUESTIONS

Prospective offerors are requested to submit any questions no later than March 18, 2019 to City Manager John Klimm at jklimm@cityofrincon.com. Oral answers to questions relative to interpretation of requirements or the proposal process will not be binding on the City. The City reserves the right to include questions and responses in the form of written Addendums, as it deems necessary.
