With growth and development as continuing issues in the City of Rincon, the Planning and Development Department plays an important role in the City’s government. Planning and Development strives to ensure compliance with building codes and zoning ordinances in a timely and professional manner. Offices are in City Hall at 302 S. Columbia Avenue, and hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All ordinances of the City of Rincon, such as zoning information, land uses, municipal tree ordinance, open burning information, soil erosion & sedimentation control ordinance, etc., are available upon request for a fee.

 

Planning and Zoning Board: The Board meets the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 107 W. 17th Street.

Planning and Zoning Board Meeting Schedule 

All applicants and/or representatives must be present for each agenda item. Items will be tabled or denied if no representative is present. The application and all of the required supporting documentation must be turned in by the deadline date. The dates referenced do not include Public Hearings.

The Building and Zoning Department must meet all current O.C.G.A.’s for Public Hearings. This department reserves the right to change any of the above dates if needed.open burning information, soil erosion & sedimentation control ordinance, etc., are available upon request for a fee.
